 ​​Mindful Fitness with Shu Ting

I am a yoga instructor and personal trainer, based in Singapore.  I have been teaching yoga since 2013, and providing strength training for individual clients since early 2020.  My personal yoga and fitness journey is motivated by my intention to move well, eat well, travel and to live fully and independently into old age.  My yoga background is predominantly in the styles of Hatha, Yin, Restorative, Therapy and Prenatal/Post-partum.  ​As personal trainer, I offer strength training and conditioning, with a focus on posture correction, body awareness and functional mobility.  ​
My teaching style is beginner-friendly and inclusive.  I enjoy working with students and clients with different levels of practice; and especially with those who are either just starting out on their self-care journeys or those looking to re-discover the practice after a hiatus due to life events (e.g. pregnancy, illness, injuries etc.).   

I embrace every opportunity to hold space for yoga practitioners, empowering them to explore the practice. I believe that the yoga mat should be a safe space where we can let our guards down, be open and vulnerable; allowing ourselves to find strength and healing through yoga. 

​As personal trainer with a background in yoga, I am able to provide a well-balanced training programme to build both strength and flexibility in a mindful, safe and structured manner.   

​I strive to be a 
supportive, body-positive and trauma-aware trainer to help clients with different training backgrounds, goals and motivations to take charge of their own health and fitness.  ​
I welcome enquiries on private classes and personal training for strength, yoga or a tailored programme that combines both. I am currently doing home visits for both yoga and strength training. Sessions can be conducted indoors (at home or gym/studio), outdoors or remotely. I am also part of the training team at Strength Avenue.
